This section is about a seven day trip I made together with some friends when I was in South Africa in April 2002.

On Thursday we finished last preparations and headed for Kuruman in the northen Cape where the Desert Rund departs from. Meeting point is the reds sands hotel, a lodge / camping area. We spent a noisy night with loads of people braaing, preparing their bikes, doing wheelies and stuff as well as drinking quite a few sociable drinks -so we just joined in :-)
